A proper coach is needed to guide the players. Ishant Sharma is bowling at a pace which is less than that of Zaheer. This is alarming.I think BCCI should look into replacing Fletcher. I see no value addition after he became coach.

Yes the team has struggled since he became the coach. Sack him please.

Team struggles with whoever is the coach. Best not to have coach at all.

Cook scored a ton. Dhoni should bow before him.

The entire cricket fans and the team should bow before him...

Coaches like Wright and Kirsten are the types of coaches we need. Chappell was pathetic, Fletcher seems to be confused. I want Ganguly to be the coach of the team in the future. :D

^ You mean the next coach? Just saw the scorecard and Jesus yet another hundred for Cook? England blazing again? Indian bowlers fail again? Ha, its Deja vu isn't ? The problem is that the bowlers, they don't really have a plan at all. The bowlers just don't how to set up a batsman, they don't work out their weaknesses. Its been a huge problem in the bowling department be it spin/pace or medium pace rather. They just run in and try and bowl their regular delivery and will go for variations once they get hit. And the problem with this batting line up is that, sadly, there is no Dravid or Laxman to save the test and there is no one like'em. It would be very soon to consider Pujara as next Dravid yes. This middle order looks fragile, frightened and lost. It would take a miracle for us to win the game or even draw! Amazing batting by Cook though. Its really frustrating that he is dominating where ever he goes but simply amazing talent.

They don't know what is test cricket(real cricket). They don't know how to play test cricket. They don't know how to bat/bowl in different tracks/conditions whether it be at home or overseas. They know only one thing - "Play games earn money".The bottom line is, as contrary to what Raina says - "They are built for IPL".

Why would BCCI stop money making machine. Its obvious they are running it like a corporate company than a national team/sport.

Exactly my point. BCCI will never stop it, and our team is never going to recover. Its a vicious cycle really.......people go gaga over the nonsense in the name of entertainment, and u have one match wonders coming into the international arena. He gets into the Tests too very quickly. WHen a Ranji player toiling for each and every run, each and every season sees that, the next thing he aims is - get into the IPL, which is a shortcut to international circuit & money as well. He modifies his game & ends up being nothing.

So basically, this spirals up more & more, and someone somewhere has to draw the line.

May be a trigger like Indians losing their pseudo interest in cricket, and that forces the BCCI to stop the loss making IPL, which forces the players to go to Ranji, and hence churning out better quality players.

Duncan Fletcher - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fletcher has been appointed as the coach of the India cricket team on 27 April 2011, with a two-year contract. Fletcher was one of the leading candidates for appointment as coach of the India national cricket team. Fletcher bagged the top job in the India national cricket team ahead of names like former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming and former Zimbabwe skipper Andy Flower. Fletcher is reported to be outgoing India coach Gary Kirsten's recommendation.

This is nice. 2 year contract to screw the whole cricket team. Well done Mr. Fletcher.
