A friend broke his phone lately it was a Nokia. He need some suggestions for his new phone.Budget is 10K, could be stretched to 14K if the device worth the price.Priorities are:1. Email2. Music3. Camera 4. A decent screen (Open to both Touchscreen & QWERTY)Regarding OS, open to both Symbian^ & Android (Any reputed brand)

the original wildfire had a strange resolution which meant that a lot of apps had issues running on it. not sure about wildfire s but from what i have seen, not much has changed between these two versions. wildfire is only worth going for if you need its 5mp camera but then i believe samsung has phones in the same range that has a 5mp camera (ace i think).

but it is also a rebranded chinese phone which might not get android 2.3? i might be wrong but has Dell announced any plan to upgrade the OS on their two devices?

Yes its a re-badged ZTE Blade. But Dell offers a phone swap warranty, any problem, you get a new phone.Officially i don't think so. So maybe not a good proposition for people looking for official updates. CyanogenMod 7 (2.3.4) Stable is already available though. Someone on Modaco was even porting Honeycomb to it.
