A friend broke his phone lately it was a Nokia. He need some suggestions for his new phone.Budget is 10K, could be stretched to 14K if the device worth the price.Priorities are:1. Email2. Music3. Camera 4. A decent screen (Open to both Touchscreen & QWERTY)Regarding OS, open to both Symbian^ & Android (Any reputed brand)

Nokia C6-01. 8MP Camera, AMOLED Capacitive Screen. Costs ~13k

Another good option is the C7 but its price is around 17K in Mumbai. The main difference is that C6 -01 has less memory as compared to a C7 as also the battery is smaller in capacity compared to a C7

take a look at this > Samsung S5620 Monte - Full phone specifications

Not sure this is available anymore as its quite old, even when it was new it was a rarity on the shelves.

^^ then you must be knowing whether it fits in for your friend's need or not. if it does, i think no better alternative at this price.

Biggest issue is the lack of QWERTY keyboard, otherwise it's a fine phone for mediocre usage.I suggested him C6-01, Wildfire S and Galaxy SL. Ready to expand the budget to 18K and Galaxy SL looks good any other option available in this price range?/Edited the thread title but it's not changing. Argh!

First of anyone spending more than 10K, Nokia should be out of the reckoning simply because whatever it proclaims about Symbian support, it's a dead OS after Microsoft's virtual takeover of Nokia. It's going to be Win 7 phone all the way. Bada OS from Samsung has never taken off and the reduced pricing you are seeing for BADA handsets is the incentive Samsung offering to clear the inventories. Just think, despite it's own OS, Samsung has just 3-4 Wave phones.. And how many Androids does Samsung make? Get the point... Android is the way to go and here are the best choices for different price points...Below 10K: Dell XCD 35: Brilliant 800x480 resolution screen (You won't find this in any android handset in this budget). Android 2.2.Below 10K and QWERT+Touchscreen Combo: Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510. 800 Mhz Processor (Fastest in this budget) Android 2.2Below 14K: Spice Mi-410: 1 Ghz Processor, 4" Screen, HDMI port, Rest all the bells & whistles.. No phone at this budget to match it's specsAbout 15.5K: Motorola Defy: Motorola's rugged splash/dust proof, Gorilla glass, 854x480 resolution, 3.7", 5MP Camera, Android 2.2
