Thanks!!! i found it on google too :)

What about buying a used iPhone 4 from ebay? The only problem is, most of the idiots upgrade to ios 5, which makes it difficult to unlock.Is it safe to buy used phones? Will the battery be ****ed up? has anyone here bought a used phone ol?

It's not club, it's Aramex SnS. I use it frequently. Your rates are all messed up :p

It is $10 for the first 500 grams and then $8 for every 500 grams thereafter. Customs are charged at actuals, it is 2.3% for phones.

I opened an account for $5, well worth the one time investment as these guys are very professional, and I also use it a lot.

Thanks for the correct info. There is also info posted for joining Aramex SnS with only $ 5 instead of $45 while opening a/c using discount coupon.

Since you have used it, could you give us the run down ...

you pay posted price (free shipping with in USA right?)by international credit card/debit card giving aramex Newyork address.. Like for normal USA residents any sales tax is applied ???

How many days aramex USA takes to deliver to your door after the product is delivered to Aramex USA address by your US vendor?

Does Aramex pack more (increase in weight!) or just ship it as it is just with new address stickers?

do they email you chargeable weight and ask you pay in advance or you can pay when you receive in India ?

do they ask you post bond say 2.3% for the customs duty..( Duty is normally on CIF cost-insurance -freight and not on invoice price right?)

could you give a example with your last purchase?

...your web site purchase price+ Aramex shipping cost+ duty! if you dont mind please.:closedeyes:

Too many questions, will answer after some time. IN a hurry now

how easy is it to unlock windows 7 phones ? free or paid

Not free, but easy, around 50 bucks for ATT ones

Shipping costs within US are purely seller discretion. If there are any fees that apply, you will need to pay that of course. There are no special charges for shipping to an SnS address though.

Like for normal USA residents any sales tax is applied ???

Again, this is based on the seller. If the seller feels like charging ST for NY, he will. The rule in US is if a seller has a physical presence in a State, he has to pay tax.

In most cases I have got it in 5 days. Rare cases 4 days. Once 6 days.

Does Aramex pack more (increase in weight!) or just ship it as it is just with new address stickers?

If the original packing is good, they don't pack anything extra, they just put their address stickers and an Aramex tape to prevent the package from opening in transit. They also pack it if the customs guys here tear open the package like some wild animal.

do they email you chargeable weight and ask you pay in advance or you can pay when you receive in India ?

The moment the package is received at their NY warehouse, an automated mail is sent to you with the weight. You can pay shipping costs online before the package lands in India, or else pay cash on delivery after that. The customs has to be paid during delivery at actuals.

do they ask you post bond say 2.3% for the customs duty..( Duty is normally on CIF cost-insurance -freight and not on invoice price right?)

No bond. They charge you customs that was actually paid, plus 50 clearance charges per package, if there is a custom duty on it. The customs is generally NOT evaluated on CIF as it is cumbersome for them, and the difference in customs using that and the default approach is not significant. They do take up CIF clearance on request though.

How it works is customs is charged @ 2.3% on cost (actual invoice) + shipping (21.125% of invoice) + insurance (1% of (actual invoice + 21.125% of invoice as shipping))

could you give a example with your last purchase?

Let's say you buy a phone worth $100 as per the invoice. Let's assume for simplicity that 1 USD = 50 INR.

Cost = 100
Freight = 21.125% of 100 = 21.125
Insurance = 1% of (100 + 21.125) = 1.21

Customs = 2.3% * (100 + 21.125 + 1.21) = $2.81 = 140.50 INR
In addition, there will be 50 rupees more for handling charges, so total customs = 190.50 INR

Again, this is based on the seller. If the seller feels like charging ST for NY, he will. The rule in US is if a seller has a physical presence in a State, he has to pay tax.
Thanks for the detailed answer man!
free normal delivery (not overnight express delivery) with in usa may be free most of the time or charged as per their per order/weight rate by most usa sellers.
You may be partially right that some sellers may absorb sales tax too.
But big sellers like Walmart,Bigbuy,Ebay usa may charge sales tax depending upon the state rule on sales tax on the particular state.( I think only few states do.I am yet to home work on this -which states levy sales tax on line purchases if the delivery address is in that state.)
Since your shipping address to the usa sellers is

Mr Agantuk
c/o Aramex...etc etc .Newyork USA----- you are considered state resident of Newyork and tax if applicable will be levied.
Have you bought from any big store like walmart,bigbuy,frys,JC penny etc online instead of ebay ..
any recent items you bought from usa ?

Thanks for this info.
so Indian customs so take the invoice price +assume 21.125% as shipping cost (of the invoice value) ( ir respective your freight is more or less than this amount) + 1 % insurance

Let's say you buy a phone worth $100 as per the invoice. Let's assume for simplicity that 1 USD = 50 INR.

So I assume buying products below $ 300 will be safe right? ( below Rs 15000 INR) or have you bought up to say $ 500 ( almost Rs 25000)
