^ yeah 9 ghante ki baat hain bas... doodh ka doodh paani ka paani ho jayega....but personally ithink 199 will need a base plan thats why his plan is in queue otherwise it should have been active immediately.
 
So can you let us know if your queued plan gets activated tonight as claimed by cc ?

That's the only option. Right now I contacted Jio CC once again and told me due to technical reasons the 199 plan is under queue and will work from midnight and also asked me to not recharge for any other plan. All this sounds very poor communication from Jio. CC told me 199 plans are introductory plans for now and I don't think they will last. Will update tonight or tomorrow whenever this mess gets sorted out.
 
Got in touch with another CC on whatsapp and here's the screenshot regarding 199 plan.

How you got the STB btw?

The app asking for delivery for 199 rs or pick up from the store. Do I need to recharge for the monthly plan to get STB, because the validity of preview plan is still till 29 Dec.
 
Also, do these all stores have the stock of STB? That I just need to go and pick it up.
 
I got a message for STB delivery, I haven't opted for any plan other than 199 plan so don't have one. I did see the message on Jio app as well. From the various CC I contacted you can use the link on sms to get STB delivered or contact CC to arrange appointment for STB installation but you need to select a plan like 699/849 etc to avail the STB. Regarding 199 plan what I've mentioned earlier is what I know. Wait till 2mrw for more info on tht. If your free offer is still working, enjoy till it lasts. (BTW the Jio sales guys in my area were not helpful either)

First I received the SMS " Condrats your complimentary set top is ready. for free installation and demo we will be organizing a demo in your society on XXXXX . Send a whatspp message XXXX to 700087008 to register for service camp"

After I did that.. I recevied another SMS today that someone from JIO will come for recharge and installation of Set top box. He hasnt come yet though...

so if you go and pick up the set top box then how will you install it yourself??? JIO guy has to come for the installation, right? why cant he bring the box with him?...so i think this pickup from store thing is just bullshit to make some extra money(incase you chose for home delivery)


PS-I am still on free preview plan and getting full speed as of now.
 
Is there an option to opt out of STB? I mean, if I only want data (fiber modem) and dont want STB is there a provision for that with Jio Fiber?
