Steyn has pace and he bowls a better line than even say Johnson, who has been the best bowler in this series. He may not be best, but "worst" case he will end up going say 8-10 an over in the final stages, not 20 runs....

Read this article at cricinfo , it states same things what i have stated today regarding new ODI rules as to how its throwing away reverse swing and spin out of the window :-
http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-australia-2013-14/content/current/story/680935.html
Copy Pasting one guys comments in that article because he is spot on :-
As i kid born in mid 80's, spin for me in any form of cricket was flighting the ball in the air, making the batsman to lure over it and deceiving him by turn and bounce but with new rules of 2 balls per game and only four fielder outside the ring is making that art of spin bowling disappear. Fast bowlers still have an advantage with the ball staying considerably new for the entire inning be it in subcontinent or outside. Dhoni's concern is not baseless. the amount of favors given to the batsmen would dishearten the bowlers and we would see a mad rush in kids to become batsman. No one wants to stand at the receiving end. Fast bowlers still have an advantage of two bouncers per over but what about spinners? And for Dhoni condition becomes miserable as we dont even have fast bowlers to use those bouncers. His work as a captain is the most difficult in cricket today. he has to live up to the legacy he has created in this cricket obsessed country and win without handy bowlers.

that rule hits india hard coz of , lack of quality fast bowlers and conducive batting pitches & over dependence on spinners
No wonder than BCCI wanted this rule to be revoked keeping an eye on the 2015 WC, where this rule will come to haunt the indian batsmen

TBH, the rule is quite unfair to the bowlers and co.Lack of knowledgeable(w.r.t cricket) personnel except a few in the ICC elite panel group is the chief reason for the wrong decisions being taken regarding the rules and regulations. With these rules even steyn will get hammered in any condition with a little outcome.

only india can loose any game coz they have no quality bowlers I don't understand why the hell india didn't find great fast bowlers for the death overs , i know india always produces legend batsman's but what about bowlers seriously that last game is in our hand we looses coz dhoni likes digging his own grave sometimes and if its gone like this they have no chance of getting into the series

Dhoni needs to be criticized, he even brought Kohli to bowl a disastrous over. Regarding Ishant - Had this been Watson, Warner, Gayle etc I would have understood Dhoni still backing him, but not sure why now.

Dhoni is a very arrogant & adamant captain & sticks to his favorite set of players no matter what happens.
So far luck has favored him in major tournaments even with dud players. till his luck lasts or selectors grow a spine, his authority will be supreme in the selection process.

We won champions trophee, because of England. As a precursor to Ashes test series, England made spinner friendly pitches. England knew they are not good at playing spin, but they have good spinners. And Australia sucks more at playing spin, and they have the most mediocre spinners. If you had heard Ganguly say that he had never seen ball spinning in June month in English conditions. India depends completely on spinners. Fast bowlers don't need to be very fast. They need to bowl in corridor of uncertainty. McGrath was specialist in that. He could get wickets on flat tracks with his accurate line and length. Indian batsmen are scared of pace. If I were an Australian I would have a pace attack of Johnson, Starc and Ryan Harris ( he is accurate with good pace), as each one can bowl 140+ continuously. India is going to suck at WC 2015. Australia will make sure Indians get the fast bouncy wickets, excepting India's matches in New Zealand.

Yes agree to a point but nevertheless the rule still sucks .. I mean not only India but even SL will get hit by this rule as they have just malinga and spinners .. Its not about these 2 teams only but its also that a game of cricket must have something for everyone .. As much as fast bowlers are important so are spinners .. Why not have a rule that when spinners bowl they are given a rugged old ball ??

Do you really think so mate ?? I dont think Dhoni is going to select just his " so called friends " and see India lose .. i mean give the guy come credit its not luck .. Hes won India 3 major trophies T20 WC , ODI WC and Champions Trophy .. None of Indian captains have done this be it Azhar , Tendu , Dravid , Dada or whoever .. He sticks with players who he has faith in and it has reaped awards .. people were after Jadeja when he started off and today as you see hes become Indias leading spinner and bats well also .. Raina will also come good hes an excellent player .. Who else has be backed ?? Hes as fed up with Ishant sharma as full of India is but still selectors retained him .. So selectors do have a spine ...

I would say lucky in major tournaments bro, coz in the champs trophy, the team selection was bizarre with players like yadav, nohit,dk and dhoni not playing irfan in any of the matches. i would say he is adamant about a certain set of players like we all know how he shielded nohit in the cb series at the expense of calling it rotation policy. removed yuvi, gambhir (sehwag i agree was not performing) and when selectors gave him players like pujara & irfan he didn't played them at all except giving pujara just 2 matches in zimbabwe.
those selection weaknesses have been exposed many times in england, in cb series, in asia cup. regarding ishant, dhoni was not fed up as one day prior to the team selection he made it clear he will pick ishant (i had posted the link). it's more like selectors dancing to his tune.
i would say that is also ok, if the captain delivers the results. but he is not giving chances to other players who are more deserving. like last year we had went through the debate how he was not giving chances to players like tiwary, now rayudu, mishra, unadkat are waiting in the squad. In a 7 match ODI series there is enough room for experimentation w/o disturbing the winnability factor
