Well actually all of us on the forum wanted him to stay in the team. We atleast had 1 sitting duck in the opposition!Now they might bring in a better batsman!

If only Indian selectors took a few cues from their Australian counterparts, we wouldn't be in the rot we are in today. Selections are based on sentiment rather than performance. Ricky Ponting isn't the first Australian great to be dropped, nor will he be the last.

Well ... They did drop Ganguly & now Harbhajan.. Even in the past Azhar, Kumble have been dropped ... It is just that they try to "Avoid" it as much as possible. Secondly, the replacements are not giving them enough confidence.
