Will give Netgear app a try. Will also check for 2.4ghz since I was assuming 5ghz will give good speeds given the speedtest results.
Could you tell name of netgear app? There are many on play store.
Updated above.
You obviously need netgear router to use netgear app.
Also C6 on Amazon is now updated model v3.
So openwrt support is unknown.

So was testing 4k on youtube and it was very good at playing games with me. Forget 2160, youtube was buffering even with 1080p at times. While I turned on the "Stats for nerds" I saw that the connection speed was hovering from 30-45 Mbps, network activity would drop to zero if I changed my resolution to 1080 and above. Really don't know what is the issue here.. Youtube, Airtel(issues since last 1-2 days) or my frigging Extender.
Youtube plays fine when I play any other video at 1080p. Those exclusive 4K videos were having issues.
@igloo and others, since I saw on the net that we can use another router as an AP using WDS mode, how much loss is expected in terms of speed? As aware of issue wrt cabling, this could be a better solution instead of using Re305 and replacing it with A6 or C6. Also wrt performance, it seems A6 V3 has a dual core processor than C6 but also loses out on internal antenna. How much difference do you think this will make?

Yea, this might sound Wierd but, I have worked in the router/firewall industry, And if you are using a 2.4ghz extender and you are getting 15-30Mbps, then that is up to spec, that's just how the extender is supposed to work, it's a technological limitation. Scan every nook of your house, and check the decibals of wifi range of your main router, if it's more than - 65dbB, than your speeds will drop a lot. If you want, maximum performance at all times, your best bet is to get an ethernet cable and use a access point and not an extender.

What is the distance between the main router and the TV ? If possible wire it and check. Pardon if you have put the home plan , but couldn't see it. ,Like if you eliminate options , you will get to know which is the cause

Can't put wire, the conceal is now hidden behind the TV and also further beneath the TV.
Home plan is available in post 1, is it not accessible?
I could try to move my main router to bring it closer along pathway there by increasing the range.

yes a6/c6 can be used as repeater too.
Also one can connect the repeater via ethernet to tv.
Ac repeater or ap(ac) with repeater mode is better so that you can repeat 5ghz only.
One can set repeated signal on diff channel too.

So after much deliberations and consultations, finally came to this conclusion/plan.
I will be placing A6/C6 on the wall adjoining room 2 which will be in the central location and also it gives the best signal of 49-50db(room 3 door open and around 57-60db with door closed) from my main router. It will be setup using WDS.
From A6/C6, will lay the ethernet wire tucked along the marble frame so that it won't be easily visible upto the TV.
I would have gone for Deco mesh as mentioned by igloo but I don't think they could be hunged, or even if they are hunged it is easily noticeable to raise eyebrows. I just hope the difference in speeds between mesh and the router is less.

Another point, Will I be able to use wifi from A6/C6? Also, how should I configure A6/C6?
Any other point if I have missed?
Also while A6 comes with v3 out of the box, C6 has firmware upgrade stuck to v2. So don't know if support will be available for openwrt.
